Settled in 1853, the suburb of Naremburn is situated approximately 8kms from the Sydney CBD. The suburb is well serviced by public transport, including buses running into nearby Chatswood and the city, or catch a train from Chatswood Train Station for a fast trip in the CBD and surrounding suburbs.
Naremburn is characterised by Federation style accommodation, Californian bungalows and semi-detached houses ranging from the 1800s to the 1930s. Many of these buildings have been restored to their original state maintaining the historic elements of the suburb.
For the sporty types, the suburb offers surrounding sports fields where you can enjoy a game of cricket, soccer or football, as well as barbeque facilities to enjoy a picnic lunch. There is also a swimming pool nearby for a morning dip.
There are a variety of strip shops located in Naremburn which house almost all your shopping needs; however you can head to nearby Chatswood Chase for a wider variety of speciality stores and bulkier items.
